Troubleshooting Guide - FarSync WAN T-Series - Linux Generic HDLC I/F
These possible additional installation problems apply when using the Generic HDLC interface with kernel versions 2.4.13 and later only.

| Installing Generic HDLC patch reports errors | FarSite's use of CVS displaced code in patch | The driver that is distributed with the Kernel has had all the CVS information removed. The generic HDLC patch will only work successfully against Kernel distributed source files. Therefore, resist any temptation to copy the farsync.c and farsync.h files from the farsync-0.09.4/kernel2.4 directory to /usr/src/linux/drivers/net/wan |
